Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
Vivimory is a private app for capturing, organizing and preserving the memories of your life. It is operated by Beay Solutions LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information Vivimory handles, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have.
Questions or requests: support@vivimory.com.
2. Information we collect
We only handle information that is needed to run the features you use.
- Account: your email address, your name, a password (stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider), your language and theme.
- Content you create: memories (text, dates, places, mood, photos, videos, audio and voice recordings with their transcripts, documents), chapters, people you add (names, relationships, birthdays, photos), time capsules, items in your Locked Vault, prayer requests (text, Bible verse, photos, schedule), chat messages and comments, and files you upload for Legacy requests.
- Connections: your family, friends, groups and Legacy contacts, and the sharing choices you make.
- Location: place names you type, and approximate map coordinates your phone calculates from them for map pins using its built-in map service (Apple Maps on iPhone), which receives those place names. We never track your live location. You choose whether pins are exact, approximate or hidden.
- Device and security data: a push-notification token, your time zone, the time you were last active, and sign-in session records used for security alerts.
- Purchases: if paid plans are offered, Apple handles payment. We only receive your subscription status, never your payment details.
- We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
3. How we use information
- To provide, secure and improve the app and the features you use.
- To show your memories to the people you choose, and only them.
- To send notifications you have not turned off (invites, messages, prayer reminders, security alerts).
- To provide AI features when you use them and have given permission (section 4).
- To keep the community safe: text you share with other people is checked automatically for clearly abusive content (section 4).
- To respond to support requests, enforce our Terms and comply with the law.
4. Artificial intelligence (AI) features
Vivimory offers optional AI features. Before any of your content is sent to an AI service for the first time, the app asks for your explicit permission. You can withdraw it at any time in Settings → AI & Automation, and nothing is sent while AI is off.
When you use an AI feature, the relevant content is sent through our servers to Google Cloud's Vertex AI service (Gemini models), which processes it and returns a result. Under Google Cloud's terms, customer content is not used to train Google's models without permission, and we do not use your content to train AI models.
What each feature sends:
- Organize this memory, Help me write this, and memory summaries: the text you wrote, your chapter and people names.
- Ask My Life, AI search and the Life Interviewer: your memories' text, titles, places, mood and summaries, plus the conversation so far. Memories in your Locked Vault or in a sealed Time Capsule are never included.
- Then & Now: the photo you just added and a few of your earlier photos, to look for visual echoes.
- Voice notes: the recording you make, to transcribe it.
- Verse reflection, welcome message and similar prompts: the verse or the count of imported photos, not your memories.
- Ask about someone's life (Legacy): after a Legacy request is approved, the questions you ask and the account owner's memories.
- Safety check: before text you share with other people (chat messages and comments, prayer requests, family memory proposals, group names, memories you share) is sent, a built-in word filter checks it for clearly abusive content such as slurs or threats; this filter does not use any third party and applies to everyone. If you have allowed AI, that text is also checked by the AI service for abuse and hate, and photos you are about to share (in shared memories, prayer requests and family proposals) are checked by the AI service for explicit, violent or hateful content; a downscaled copy of the photo is sent for this and is not kept. If you have not allowed AI, only the built-in word filter runs and photos are not checked. Memories and photos you keep private are never checked. A check can be wrong; if something is blocked by mistake, rephrase it, choose another photo or contact us.
- All AI output is labeled. AI never changes your memories on its own: you review and accept every suggestion. AI can make mistakes.
5. Who we share information with
We do not sell your information and we do not share it for advertising.
- People you choose: family, friends, groups and Legacy contacts see only what you share with them.
- Supabase: hosts our database, sign-in, file storage and serverless functions (United States).
- Google Cloud (Vertex AI): processes content for the AI features above, only when you use them.
- Expo push notification service: delivers notifications (your device token and the notification text).
- Shotstack: renders recap videos you request (the photos you select).
- API.Bible: provides Bible text. We send only the book, chapter, verse and language, never personal information.
- Apple and Google platform services: maps, notifications and purchases.
- Authorities or advisers when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
- Links to outside sites (for example a photo-book printer) open in your browser; we send them nothing.
6. Your privacy controls
- Memories are private by default; you choose family, friends or groups per memory.
- Locked Vault keeps memories out of your timeline, map and AI until you unlock them with Face ID / Touch ID.
- App Lock, Location Privacy, notification and AI settings are in Settings.
- For prayer requests, only the author sees who joined; others see an anonymous count.
7. Retention and deletion
We keep your information while your account exists. Deleted memories stay in Recently Deleted for 30 days, then are removed permanently.
You can delete your account in the app (Settings → Account → Delete Account). This permanently removes your profile, memories, media, connections and related data from our systems; residual copies in backups are overwritten in the normal backup cycle. If you named Legacy contacts, their access ends with your account.
8. Your rights
You can access and export your data (Settings → Export My Data), correct it in the app, delete it, and withdraw AI permission at any time. Depending on where you live (for example California or the EU/UK), you may have additional rights such as access, portability, objection and complaint to a regulator. To exercise them, contact us at the address in section 12. We do not sell or share personal information as defined by California law.
9. Children
Vivimory is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security
Data is encrypted in transit, stored with row-level access controls so each person can only read what they own or were given, and you can add App Lock. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong password.
11. International use and changes
Our servers are in the United States; if you use Vivimory elsewhere your information is transferred there.
We may update this policy; material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.
